I’m running for District 5 Commissioner because the future of Orlando will be determined by how District 5 lives. As a young person with the passion and training to understand city planning and development, I don’t feel like I can sit on the side and just hope it goes well. I’m ready to help.

I'm running for District 5 commissioner to champion a trajectory of our future Orlando that aims for prosperity without losing sight of equity. Our city is at the center of a region experiencing record growth, major economic investments, and significant infrastructure changes. While the City Beautiful is on the rise, many communities, especially in District 5, are experiencing the unchecked consequences of rapid urban development. Unfortunately, it seems like most longtime residents won’t be participating in the rising tide. We can’t accept that. The best Orlando is a city that builds together and opens doors for all residents to participate in what comes next.

Planning for Our Growth

Reactive solutions in District 5 are leaving people behind and wasting great opportunities. District 5's long-term success depends on a more connected look at growth. One that anticipates the needs of our residents and businesses to make smarter investments for our future in housing, infrastructure, and economic development.

jobs for the future

District 5 is home to great schools, a growing tech sector, world-class facilities, and increasing transportation options. With an ecosystem like that, we can move from makeshift jobs to score the jobs of the future. By preparing our talent, sharing District 5's story, and leveraging our position in the region, we can grow and attract a range of new businesses and employment opportunities.

connectivity to opportunity

Let's decrease the cost of living and increase quality of life with a greater focus on infrastructure and connectivity. While Orlando is in the middle of a region experiencing opportunities without borders, physical and digital connectivity are becoming more critical. Transportation and internet access will be key to connecting residents and businesses with the opportunity gateways built in Creative Village, Medical City, NeoCity, UCF / Valencia campuses, and beyond.

Building the bench for orlando

The next generation of leaders exists in District 5. This is a community on the rise in a City ready to lead. We need to raise our investment in our youth and work to provide a safer environment where they can learn, grow, and choose their future. From community schools and after-school programming, to a pipeline for higher education and job opportunity, we can ensure the future is bright and clear.
